I have four powerful prayers for you that will help you walk in the freedom and healing that God has for you. In this podcast I will break these down a little and give them to you to bless your life.

When Chester and Betsy Kylstra founded Restoring the Foundations and created all of the amazing materials that are included in RTF ministry it was such a labor of love and faithfulness. God chose the right people to develop the RTF ministry. Chester was literally a rocket scientist (which means brilliant) and Betsy was a gifted mental health professional. I am continually amazed and thankful for the integrated approach to ministry found in RTF. It is brilliant in setting people free and helping them stay free.
In today’s podcast I am going to walk through the submission prayers that are used in RTF ministry because I believe they will bless your life as you pray them on a regular basis.
This first prayer deals with the Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses. Many times, we are not aware of these generational curses because we have had them our entire life and they feel normal to us. This prayer will help you begin to get freedom from these generational curses.
Sins of the Fathers and Resulting Curses Prayer
“As a child of God, purchased by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I choose to confess and acknowledge the sins of my ancestors. While I don’t like the results of their sins on my life, I choose to forgive and release them and to not hold them accountable for each and every way that their sins have affected me.
I now renounce all of the sins of my ancestors and release myself from their effects, based on the finished work of Christ on the Cross.
Lord, I am sorry for all of the ways that I have entered into these same sins and allowed the curses to affect me. I ask You to forgive me for this and to wash me clean. I choose to receive Your forgiveness.
I affirm that I have been crucified with Jesus Christ and raised to walk in newness of life. On this basis, I announce to satan and all his forces that Christ took upon Himself the curses and judgments due me. Thus, I break every curse that has come upon me because of my ancestors. I also break all curses that have been released onto me by others. I also break all curses that I have spoken or thought about myself. I receive my freedom from every one of these curses.”
Because of the above and because I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, I cancel the legal rights of every demon sent to oppress me.
Because I have been raised up with Christ and now sit with Him in heavenly places, where I have a place as a member of God’s family, I renounce and cancel each and every way that satan and his demons may claim ownership of me. I cancel all ungodly dedications made by my ancestors of their descendants, including me and my descendants, in the name of Jesus. I declare myself to be completely and eternally signed over to, owned by, and committed to, the Lord Jesus Christ.
All this I do on the basis of the Truth revealed in the Word of God, and in the Name and with the Authority of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
That is such a powerful prayer. I will have these prayers written out at the end of the text for this podcast for you to print out and use on a regular basis. The next prayer is preparing you to recognize and deal with Ungodly Beliefs. Once again Ungodly Beliefs are so common and natural to us that we need the Holy Spirit to make us aware of any wrong thinking or blind spots. I was driving the other day and almost caused a wreck because a car was in my blind spot, and I did not see it. We are blind to many of our Ungodly Beliefs until the Holy Spirit reveals them to us. This prayer will give permission for the Holy Spirit to search your thoughts and beliefs. Notice in the prayer we are confessing that we are made in the image of God. If for no other reason we should use this prayer to confess the truth about who we are. Then it goes on to talk about the grace we will need to have our minds renewed. Mind renewal does not happen instantly. It takes time and intentionality on our part to meditate on the new Godly Beliefs to move them from our head as a very true thought, to our heart where they become something we believe. You don’t live out of what you think when the pressures of life come rolling in. You live out of what you actually believe. So having our belief system line up with God’s truth will change your life
Ungodly Belief Submission Prayer
Lord, according to Your Word in Romans 12:2, I choose to submit to the process of being transformed by the renewing of my mind. I ask You to search my heart today, invade my thought life, and make me aware of any wrong thinking or blind spots. I thank You that You have created me in Your image and that You desire to set me free from all negative ways that I view myself, others, and You, God. I commit my way to You, Lord, knowing that You will establish my thoughts.
As You continue to renew my mind, I ask You to give me grace to cooperate with You fully in the process of changing my Ungodly Beliefs to Godly Beliefs so that I can see myself as You see me – complete in You.
Let Your mind be in me, Lord Jesus. I declare, through the blood of Jesus, that I have been redeemed, forgiven, and sanctified. I belong to Christ, my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I shall have victory today as I submit myself to this renewing and transforming process, on the authority of, and in the Name of, Jesus Christ. Amen!”
The next prayer is submitting to God and allowing Him to bring healing to wounded places in your heart. Very often we don’t even know the root of some of our struggles. When we open ourselves up to the searching of the Holy Spirit, He knows where the hurts and wounds are, and He knows exactly how to bring healing to your broken heart. Notice two important things. First, we don’t need to identify where the hurt is. It could be in the spirit, it could be in the heart, it also could be in the soul. It does not matter where the hurt is, Jesus knows where it is and how to bring His healing into that place. The second thing about this amazing healing process is that it works to heal wounds from many years ago, but it also is a very powerful way to deal with painful emotions that are going on today. We can take those negative emotions to Jesus right now and ask Him to heal our heart. It really does become a lifestyle.
Soul/Spirit Healing Prayer
Lord, I choose to be open and submitted to You today. Like David, I cry out to You and tell You, my troubles. I ask You to bring my soul out of prison so I may praise Your name. I trust You not to give me more than I can handle. I can and do trust You to be my protector, my shield, and the revealer of my hurts.
Lord, only You know what lies in darkness, the deepest secrets inside me. I ask that You reveal the deep and hidden things to me and to my Ministers. Search me and show us the hurts that You want to heal today. I trust You not to reveal more than I can bear.
I give You permission to dig deep for the roots of any hidden memories that are affecting my life. I ask You to take the keys to my heart now and unlock the doors. Bypass any denial or deception that may be blocking my memory. Bypass anything that has hindered me, or is hindering me, from receiving my healing.
Lord Jesus, I ask You to bring those things to the surface that You want to heal. I ask You to be with me as I re-experience any past hurt and pain. I want to be set free by the power of the Cross and Your Shed Blood. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
The prayer for the last part of RTF ministry is the prayer to submit to God for deliverance from the interference of the enemy and his demons. You will notice in this prayer the importance of repentance and forgiveness. Not repenting of sin opens the door for the demons and gives them a legal right to oppress us. Repentance removes their legal right to interfere in your life and makes restores you right to kick them out. Another thing that gives the demons a legal right to pester you is unforgiveness. This prayer says, “I forgive others as I want you to forgive me.” If we are unwilling to forgive other, I don’t think we really understand the grace and forgiveness we have received from God. We have been completely forgiven by a perfect and Holy God. How can we who are far less than perfect hold unforgiveness against our fellow man. This unforgiveness is a landing strip for the enemy in our lives. All four ministry areas of RTF Ministry are taking away the legal rights of demons to be in our life so when we tell them to go, they HAVE TO leave as we direct.
Deliverance Submission Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. You redeemed me by Your blood, and I belong to You. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your shed blood, which cleanses me from all sin. I want to live for You. I come to You as my Deliverer.
I now confess all of my sins, known and unknown. I repent of them and ask You to forgive me. I renounce them all. I forgive others as I want You to forgive me. Forgive me now and cleanse me with Your blood. I repent of any way I have given place to the enemy.
You know my special need: to obtain freedom from things that bind me, torment me, and defile me; from every evil and unclean spirit. I claim the promise of Your Word, “Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be delivered.”
I call upon You now, Lord Jesus, to deliver me and set me free. I renounce satan, all his works, and all of his workers. I loose myself from satan in the name of Jesus Christ. I command you, satan, you and your demons, to leave me now. All this I do in the Name, and on the authority, of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen!

Closing Prayer
Father God, I thank you for the ministry of Restoring the Foundations and how it is setting your people free. I thank you for and bless Chester and Betsy Kylstra for all of the hard work they poured into RTF, putting this wonderful ministry together and then taking it around the world. Today I thank you for those who are listening to the podcast and their desire for more freedom and healing. Would you use these prayers to help them gain more of what you have for them.
