If you were God, how would you introduce your Son to this world?

If you were God, how would you have introduced Jesus, the Messiah, Your Son to this world? I don’t think most of us would have done it the way that God did it on that very first Christmas. We might have orchestrated a large scale dramatic production to introduce the most important person in history. I would have put all of the glory and splendor of heaven on display that would have made Hollywood pale in comparison. But that is not how God chose to introduce His Son. In this podcast I am going to attempt to show the humble and lowly birth of Jesus and give some reasons why He came to earth in this way.

1 John 2 – Amazing

John describes three levels of maturity in the body of Christ. We need the fathers and mothers who are ahead of us to help pull us along. We also need those young people who are thick in the battle with the Evil One. We also need the children, those new to the faith, that we can walk with and encourage in their relationship with Jesus. Notice the wonderful picture. The fathers and mothers reach back to the young people and pull them along. The young people reach up to gain strength and knowledge from the fathers and mothers. They also reach back to pull the children along toward maturity. I love this picture because no matter if you are one of the children, one of the young people, or one of the fathers and mothers, you have purpose in the body of Christ.
