Restoring The Foundations, International is a non-profit ministry with headquarters in Tennessee, USA. RTF has branches across the globe and has a supportive oversight by a Board of Directors. In 1990, Chester and Betsy Kylstra entered full-time ministry and established Restoring the Foundations Ministry. God has continued to grow their vision around the world and Restoring the Foundations is an international non-profit ministry. This favor moved their hearts to pursue healing in the lives of God’s children. In addition to personally touching the lives of many through ministry, Chester and Betsy Kylstra have extended their touch to empower local churches to bring healing to their community.

Their background uniquely prepared them for founding Restoring the Foundations International. From their own brokenness, the Kylstra’s lived through and experienced the healing and restoration of a loving God. Chester’s professional experiences in aerospace, and Betsy’s in the mental health profession, led them to teach at colleges and universities. When the time was right, God began using them to share what they learned and experienced with those around them. God used these experiences to grow them personally and ultimately to grow Restoring the Foundations, International (RTF).

In 2015, Chester and Betsy, with the direction of the Lord, passed the baton of leadership to Lee and Cindi Whitman as their successors of RTF. Chester and Betsy are now focusing on the leadership development of Transforming Your Business which applies the revelation of RTF to a business or organization. As God began to show them patterns and principles to bring freedom and healing to themselves, they naturally shared their hearts with friends, and the body of Christ. In 2018, God led the Whitman’s, through 13 prophetic words, to move the headquarters of Restoring the Foundations from North Carolina to the Nashville, Tennessee area. RTF continues to grow and expand worldwide under the leadership of the Whitman’s. What a wonderful beginning.

Lee and Cindi Whitman are the current Executive Directors of Restoring the Foundations International. They were honored to accept the call of God to step into this role in September 2015.

Lee and Cindi were married in 1979. They have three grown children, 2 daughters-in-love, and 8 grandchildren. God has healed and restored them from brokenness individually and in their marriage relationship. They are vulnerable, authentic leaders who love to share what God has done in their lives through Restoring the Foundations.

Lee and Cindi have been serving in Christian ministries for the majority of their married life. They have both held pastoral roles and Lee was a Christian counselor for 18 years. Cindi is a gifted communicator of the things of God, and has a deep desire to see people experience the healing and freedom that is theirs in Christ and teaches from her experiences. Lee is an excellent communicator. He is relational, funny, authentic and vulnerable. He willingly shares about the journey to freedom he has received through RTF from a long battle with a sexual addiction. People are drawn to Lee as a person and as a leader. He brings life wherever he goes.

In counseling, Lee would often see clients receive a measure of healing but then they would return a year or so later with the same issue. He realized that there was something missing. When they heard the integrated approach of RTF in their search for healing in their own lives, and with the calling to help others, they knew this ministry was what they had been looking for. RTF’s integrated approach would provide lasting healing, while equipping and empowering the participant to walk in an ongoing life-style of healing and freedom.
